Free Range Eggs

You don't get better than this. The next farm sells free range organic (a much overused term in this country) eggs. They sell for 2 pounds a dozen. Not cheap by super market standards but well worth the poached egg.

If you are ever driving between Thwaite and Muker in the Yorkshire Dales then the house is just out of Thwaite between the 2 downs and well sign posted. The sale works on an honesty box system (you put money in and no one is there to check whether you have or not, this is where the honesty bit comes in).

The eggs are advertised as free range. The small problem with this would appear to be that one of the hens as of this morning has become a feathered tire warmer. A little to free range. Lets hope the rest are safe thus insuring my Sunday morning poached egg.
